Opening the panes

Open the first and second panes slightly so that there is a narrow gap between them and there is enough room for the first pane to be turned inwards.

Simultaneously, pull the cord and move the lower latch laterally to free the first glass pane so that it can be turned inwards.

Then slide the other panes to the side of the balcony and turn them inwards. Push the edge of the pane to help the pane slide more smoothly.

To close the panes, close the gap between the first and the second pane.

Stacking the panes

Slide the brass latch, located at the end of the cord lock, to the end of the lower bead of the opened pane.

Tighten the cord and, using the thumb of the other hand, press the lock on the wall until it closes.

Closing the panes

Release the panes from the cord lock.

Turn one pane after the other onto the sliding bead by pushing the knob. Slide them into place.

To pull the last glass pane onto the sliding bead, simultaneously pull the cord and move the lower latch laterally. In this way, the glass pane will be locked to the sliding bead.

Child-proof lock (optional)

The child-proof lock guarantees that the panes cannot accidentally be opened.

Twist the cord of the upper latch around the projecting part of the latch a few times. In this way, the glass pane will be locked and cannot be opened by just opening the lower latch.

The pane can also be locked in the ventilation position, as shown in the picture.

Ventilation

The first pane can be locked in the ventilation position so that it remains slightly open, as shown in the picture. The other panes can then be moved so that a narrow gap remains between all panes. This position is safe for children as the first pane can be locked in place (see "Child-proof lock"). This ensures good ventilation, and frost and excess humidity are efficiently prevented.

Whenever more efficient ventilation is required, park one pane against the wall and slide the other panes more widely apart from each other.

A glazed balcony is an uninsulated, cold space. Therefore, the balcony must not be made completely airtight.

Washing and maintenance

Open all panes. Clean the uppermost pane from the outside. Slide the panes one by one onto the sliding bead. Wash the pane from the inside. Wipe the aluminium parts with a damp cloth; use normal domestic detergents. Lubricate the plastic parts once or twice a year with silicone oil.

Note! When cleaning coated glass panes, be careful not to scratch the surface. Lubricate the Activ glass panes with Teflon-based lubricants; do not use silicone-based products.
